 tics were ideas of convexity\, matroid theory and type-A combinatorics ove
 rlap and intersect. A newer construction\, the bipermutohedron\, has relat
 ed structures and applications that are still being understood. I will giv
 e an introduction to this object and describe two ways in which it can be 
 used. One is in matroid combinatorics (with Ardila and Huh) and the other 
 for some geometry of Feynman amplitudes (with Schulze and Walther).\n\nPLA
