 uish fact from fiction - and how can media communication platforms serve t
 he public good as powerful tools for public education and policy communica
 tion.\n	\n	This evening discussion explores the forces shaping today's media
  landscape\, examining how traditional and social media influence public p
 erception\, amplify misinformation\, and shape collective debate - both at
  a broad global level and within the current and evolving Quebec and Canad
 ian landscape. Participants will examine media-literacy issues\, as well a
 s the responsibilities and challenges of journalists\, communicators\, and
  citizens in navigating a digital ecosystem marked by political\, social\,
  and technological uncertainty in an informed manner.\n\nAbout the Speaker
 s:\n	\n	Farnell Morisset\, BCL/LLB'17 - Engineer\, lawyer and media contribu
 tor \n\nFarnell Morisset is a Québec-licensed civil engineer and New York-
 licensed attorney with degrees from ɬÀï·¬\, Université Laval\,
  and the London School of Economics. His legal practice focuses on securit
 ies regulation\, real estate portfolio transactions\, and private investme
 nt funds. Beyond his legal career\, Farnell is a civic educator and digita
 l content creator\, producing accessible commentary on law\, politics\, an
 d economics. His videos reach over 220\,000 followers across his social me
 dia platforms\, which include TikTok\, Instagram\, Facebook\, and YouTube.
  He is also a regular contributor to media outlets such as La Presse\, URB
 ANIA\, the Quebec Chronicle Telegraph\, CBC/Radio-Canada\, and others\, an
