DESCRIPTION:In honour of Black History Month\, this event will explore the 
 stigma and current state of Black mental health in Canada\, highlighting b
 oth best practices and the biases that shape clinical care. Through real-l
 ife examples\, we’ll examine how Black individuals navigating psychologica
 l concerns may experience dismissal\, gaslighting\, or misinterpretation o
 f their symptoms—often rooted in systemic and practitioner-level bias. We 
 will also discuss how clinicians’ assumptions can influence diagnosis and 
 treatment\, particularly when lived experiences of racism are minimized or
  overlooked.\n\nThe event is a collaboration between the ɬÀï·¬
  Department of Family Medicine’s Equity\, Diversity and Inclusion Committe
