DESCRIPTION:Emergency Department Targeted Ultrasound (EDTU) is a two-day co
 urse designed to provide physicians with a strong foundation in emergency 
 ultrasound. The course philosophy emphasizes hands-on practical instructio
 n to maximize the participants’ learning experience. This is achieved with
  one-on-one bedside teaching on live models. The models used during the pr
 actical sessions will be a combination of normal and true positive patient
  subjects.\n\nThe course material is current and relevant to both emergenc
 y and family physicians. It is designed to facilitate the completion of th
 e required 50 supervised scans in each of the four areas (aorta\, cardiac\
 , abdomen\, and pelvis). EDTU includes an e-syllabus as well as five lectu
 res on video. The learners are required to review the materials prior to a
 ttending the program. This will allow the instructors to spend less time l
 ecturing and more time instructing during the practical sessions.\n\n \n\n
