 The Realities of Caregiving within the LGBTQ+ Communities\n\nThis week’s w
 ebcast features a panel discussion to recognize LGBTQ+ caregivers. Shari B
 rotman\, PhD\, is Associate Professor at the ɬÀï·¬ School of Social Work.
  Her scholarly activities focus on access and equity in the design and del
 ivery of health and social care services to older people from marginalized
  communities\, and their informal caregivers. Julien Rougerie is the Progr
 am Manager for the Aging Gayfully and Chosen Family programs at Fondation 
 Émergence. Chloé Viau is a trans woman who volunteers at Aging Gayfully. S
 ince her transition at age 70\, she struggles to be recognized as a caregi
 ver to her mother.\n\nThe panel will discuss the particular challenges tha
 t seniors and caregivers from the LGBTQ+ communities face in accessing ser
 vices and seeking out support for themselves\, as well as the necessary co
 nsiderations that need to be made in order to ensure that these services a
