JOIN MIAE IN WELCOMING A TEAM OF ENGINEERS, led by Maï Chétima, from the Montreal hub of WISK AERO, a company at the forefront of autonomous flight, as they present their view of the grand challenges facing aerospace and the possibilities for its future. In 2010 Wisk, headquartered in Mountain View, California, set out to explore the possibilities of electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) flight. Since then, they have developed multiple generations of aircraft and conducted more than 1750+ full-scale test flights. In 2022, Wisk launched the new engineering hub in the Montreal area to further the development of the 6th generation of its Cora autonomous air taxi. The Montreal hub has been part of a broader effort to further expand its global team of industry-leading talent around the world. In 2023, Wisk became a fully-owned subsidiary of Boeing. While the two companies operate separately, this relationship allows Wisk to tap into Boeing’s development, testing, and certification expertise, and more.

MAÏ CHÉTIMA is the General Manager Of Wisk Canada and head of Navigation And Flight Controls. He has a diverse background in engineering and leadership roles within various aerospace and technology companies, including extensive experience in flight controls systems and knowledge management. With past roles as a Senior Director of Engineering and Team Lead at companies like Virgin Hyperloop and BOMBARDIER, Chétima has a strong track record of leading technical teams, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, Chétima has experience in software development, teaching assistant roles, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree along with multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering.
