Welcome to ɬ�﷬! ɬ�﷬ Office of Religious and Spiritual Life serves students of all backgrounds and belief systems seeking personal growth, inner wellness, interfaith community and learning, and spiritual support. All of our resources and activities, including our workshops, events, publications, lounge and meditation space are free of charge and open to all ɬ�﷬ students who pay student services fees.

August Pride Events at Montreal Churches

April is Sikh Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich history, resilience, and contributions of Sikhs in Canada. This year, the ɬ�﷬ Sikh Students’ Association is hosting three events open to all, to celebrate Sikh heritage, values and teachings.

Sikhs have long been a vital part of Canada's story, including in academic spaces, forming communities that can learn from the past, and build a stronger future.

Muslim Awareness Week 2025

Muslim Awareness Week (MAW) is a yearly week of solidarity and exchange where people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs are invited to learn about the achievements, contributions, aspirations and concerns of Quebecers of Muslim faith. Born as a grassroots response to the tragic shooting at a mosque on January 29, 2017 that killed 6 men, events focus on getting to know each other through dialogue, bridge building and willingness to navigate the challenges of our pluralistic society with an open heart.

Holocaust Remembrance 2025

January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which honours the victims of the Holocaust. This day is observed with ceremonies and activities around the world, including on our campus. Mysticism Discussion Group

MORSL’s Mysticism Discussion Group is a place to learn and converse about spiritual practices and experiences across traditions. Each session will feature a different topic of interest that will be explored through readings, music, meditations, and most of all through sharing your thinking and experiences. Students of all religious, spiritual and secular backgrounds are welcome to join in and enrich these conversations.

MORSL is excited to announce the launch of the Winter issue of our student-centred spirituality magazine Radix! In this issue "Between Worlds", our writers and artists have beautifully transcended the "isms" to bridge distances between worlds. Reality, as it turns out, is as plural as there are people walking this vast, plentiful earth. We are proud to present here poems, prose, photographs, and artworks by students who have been inspired to reach within themselves, and far beyond.

Scheduled half-day closures where our office will be closed in the morning and reopened from 1pm - 4pm

New at MORSL: Offering faith-based group support

MORSL is now offering faith-based group support for managing the spiritual and emotional distress surrounding the situation in the Middle East.

Each session opens and closes under the spiritual guidance of a faith leader, with a group discussion facilitated by ɬ�﷬ wellness professionals. Groups are small (7 students) and meet in person at MORSL. A series of 4 sessions is currently being offered to Muslim- and Jewish-identified students respectively. ɬ�﷬ students can join any or all sessions but MUST register as space is limited.

Summer is a great time to slow down and invest some time in your spiritual self care. At MORSL, we will be open throughout the summer term, but with a few closures

From May 1 through August 31, 2023, our opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday-Friday

We will be closed for public holidays on May 22, June 22-23, and June 29-30

Exceptionally, we will also close on Thursday July 13 for a Student Services staff activity

Applications now open for Peer Faith Volunteer Program

MORSL is launching a peer faith volunteer program this Fall and we are now accepting applications for student volunteers.

We encourage applications from both undergraduate and graduate students at ɬ�﷬ who are looking to enhance their involvement with their faith or spiritual life through peer support. Volunteers will be trained to provide confidential, non-judgmental faith-based peer support and participate in a vibrant, multi-faith cohort designed to encourage multi-faith learning and collaboration.

As the Summer term begins, MORSL is offering two new workshop series during the month of May. Join us at MORSL throughout the month of May each Tuesday and Wednesday evening as we explore various questions touching on coping with grief and loss, and our relationship to the environment. These events are open to all ɬ�﷬ students free of charge. In addition, by attending one (or multiple) of these events, you have the chance to win a prize we will raffle off such as a $20 e-gift card or book!
