This award acknowledges his enduring impact and ongoing interdisciplinary work across science, the humanities, and the arts. 鈥淚t is a great privilege to be honoured in this way directly by 涩里番,鈥 said McAdams. 鈥淭his distinction will allow me to continue pushing the boundaries of interdisciplinarity in the Schulich School of Music, bringing together scientists, humanists, performers, and composers to explore the more mysterious aspects of music鈥攑articularly timbre and orchestration. How do we imagine it? How do we use it in musical composition and performance? And how does an audience perceive and respond to it?鈥澛
