In this talk\, Dr. Lam will highlight the close and bi-directional re lationships between epilepsy and AD\, noting recent advances in our unders tanding of this topic spanning from animal models to humans. She will desc ribe recent intracranial electrode recordings in humans that have revealed silent hippocampal epileptiform activity occurring in early stages of AD. Finally\, she will discuss machine learning approaches that her laborator y has been developing to non-invasively diagnose and quantify silent hippo campal epileptiform activity from scalp EEG recordings.\n\n\nThe Killam Se minar Series at The Neuro\n\nSupported by the generosity of the Killam Tru sts\, The Neuro’s Killam Seminar series hosts outstanding guest speakers w hose research is of interest to the scientific community at The Neuro and ɬ﷬.\n\n\nHow to participate via Zoom:\n\n1.
