The聽Sustaining Excellence Grants Program聽provides one year of funding to聽MUHC Research Institute researchers who ranked within the top 40% of CIHR Project Grant applicants but did not receive funding. Supported by the聽River Philip and Trottier Family Foundations, the Sustaining Excellence Grant allows outstanding researchers to maintain the momentum of their research programs.聽聽
Dr.聽Baglole's聽research project聽aims to understand if and how vaping impacts lung defense mechanisms that聽lead to lung damage, affect breathing, or impact the ability to respond to agents that cause lung infections. This important research will contribute knowledge to help protect lung health in the years to come.聽聽
