Biography: 

Dr. Basile Tessier-Cloutier completed his medical training at ɬÀï·¬ in Montreal and later moved to Vancouver to begin his residency training in Anatomical Pathology at the University of British Columbia. Under the supervision of Dr. David Huntsman, he completed a research fellowship at the British Columbia Cancer Agency Research Centre where he studied potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers to help resolve diagnostic conundrum in Anatomical Pathology. He then completed a fellowship in gynecologic pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (NY, USA). He is currently a clinician-investigator at the MUHC/RI-MUHC and the Research Lead of the Pathology Residency Program. He has published over 70 original research articles to date. 

Current research: 

Clinicopathologic and molecular characterization of SWI/SNF-deficient gynecologic malignancies using next-generation sequencing.
