As clinical applications for immunotherapy are on the rise\, understanding how to harness the immune system to combat cancer at different stages of disease is gaining significant attention in resear ch. Many of these research efforts have been focused on the adaptive immun e system\, yet there is untapped translational value in leveraging innate effector functions within the myeloid compartment\, which is highly abunda nt within tumours. The Quail lab studies the regulatory mechanisms of myel oid maturation and recruitment into tumours\, and tests the hypothesis tha t targeting specific myeloid states in cancer can be effective against dis ease progression. By utilizing highly multiplex immune profiling technolog ies\, we are able to gain insight into the vast heterogeneity of myeloid i dentities within tissues\, with the goal of unveiling new strategies to ta rget myeloid populations and enhance immunotherapy responses.\n\nIn person Seminar\, details in attached poster below\n DTSTART:20230331T153000Z DTEND:20230331T163000Z LOCATION:6th Floor Martin Amphiteatre\, McIntyre Medical Building\, CA\, QC \, Montreal\, H3G 1Y6\, 3655 promenade Sir William Osler SUMMARY:Physiology 17th Annual Undergraduate Research Day Speaker: Dr. Dani ela Quail URL:/physiology/channels/event/physiology-17th-annual- undergraduate-research-day-speaker-dr-daniela-quail-347005 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
