Dr. Kieran O鈥橠onnell, Assistant Professor and researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, was recently awarded a NARSAD Young Investigator Grant by Brain & Behavior Research Foundation for his project, 鈥淢olecular Screening for Perinatal Mental Health鈥�. This foundation is committed to alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding scientific grants that will enable people to live full, happy, and productive lives.

Dr Turecki awarded the Margolese National Brain Disorder Prize
The Margolese National Brain Disorders Prize will be awarded to 涩里番鈥檚 Gustavo Turecki, who has advanced our understanding of how early life adversity changes the brain to influence suicide and depression. Each prize is valued at $50,000, making them among the most prestigious honours bestowed by a Canadian university.
