  1950\, the National Film Board of Canada produced a series of 4 therapeut
 ic films following the initiative of psychiatrists from the Allan Memorial
  Institute (Department of psychiatry of the ɬÀï·¬ and Royal-Vi
 ctoria Hospital) wishing to use motion pictures in their experiments in gr
 oup therapy.\nThe session will present the first film of the series\, The 
 Feeling of Rejection (1947)\, as well as Spontaneity Training (c1933)\, a 
 therapeutic film that was probably known to the producers of the series\, 
 and is considered by some as the 'first' film specifically produced and in
