This workshop explores how Wearable Sen sing's DSI dry EEG systems are enabling a new generation of naturalistic n euroscience research\, bringing high-quality EEG data out of the lab and i nto the real world. We'll examine applications directly relevant to music\ , cognition and behavior\, speech and language neuroscience\, and cognitiv e state monitoring\, drawing on publications and live projects from the gl obal DSI research community. We'll showcase what makes dry EEG practical f or ecological paradigms: built-in artifact resistance\, rapid setup\, and a fully integrated mobile form factor that doesn't compromise signal fidel ity. The session will also include hands-on live demonstrations showcasing artifact robustness during mobile recordings\, such as music playing\, la nguage / behavioral tasks\, real-time cognitive state classification or re al-time BCI spellers. Whether you're designing your next paradigm or rethi nking what's possible outside the lab\, this workshop offers insights into both the technical feasibility and demonstrated results of DSI systems.\n \n \n\nWhen: May 13\, 9:30am-12pm\n\nWhere: CRBLM Seminar Room (2001 McGil l College Avenue\, 6th floor\, room 600)\n\n \n\nLight refreshments will b e served. \n\nLa présentation se fera en anglais mais il sera possible de participer en français via interpretation informelle des questions. \n DTSTART:20260513T133000Z DTEND:20260513T160000Z LOCATION:CRBLM seminar room (room 606\, 6th floor)\, ɬÀï·¬ College 2001\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1G1\, 2001\, avenue ɬÀï·¬ College SUMMARY:Real-world dry EEG for naturalistic music\, cognition and BCI resea rch – Wearable Sensing URL:/psychology/channels/event/real-world-dry-eeg-natu ralistic-music-cognition-and-bci-research-wearable-sensing-372759 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
