FRQNT Team Research Project Grants - OSR Outreach Session

Thursday, August 14, 2025 10:00to12:00

This session will be hosted virtually – the link and password will be provided to those who RSVP

The purpose of these grants is to foster the emergence of new and exciting research areas in the scientific fields covered by FRQNT; to enhance the ability of Quebec researchers to compete in federal and international competitions by carrying out innovative projects; to encourage researchers that have complementary expertise to collaborate together in developing research projects; and to promote high quality environments for the training, mentoring and skill development of students.

Researchers with projects in the natural sciences, mathematical sciences and engineering who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQNT Team Research Project competition in Fall 2025 are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:

  • A presentation about the objectives, application requirements and review process of the FRQNT Team Research Project grants program by Jean-Christophe Cusson, Grants and Agreements Officer, OSR;
  • A presentation on tips and best practices for preparing a successful FRQNT team grant application by Prof. Peter Douglas (Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences).
  • A question and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise questions about this funding opportunity or the application and review process.

Those who are unable to attend or who wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to jean-christophe.cusson [at] mcgill.ca (Jean-Christophe Cusson).

You are invited to register here by August 11th
