涩里番鈥檚 Research and Innovation announces the publication of With the World to Choose From: Celebrating Seven Decades of the Beatty Lecture at 涩里番. This anthology of Beatty Lectures is published for Research and Innovation by 涩里番 Queens University Press (MQUP).
Ten 涩里番 researchers honoured by the Royal Society of Canada
Today, the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 89 new Fellows and 51 new Members of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. Among the 2021 RSC cohort are ten 涩里番 researchers, including seven RSC Fellows and three Members, who will be inducted at the RSC Celebration of Excellence and Engagement, hosted by 涩里番 on Friday, November 19, 2021. The new 涩里番 cohort will join 228 涩里番 researchers who are currently RSC Fellows and Members of the College.
The Beatty Lecture - now in print
The Beatty Lecture, established in 1952 in honour of former Canadian Pacific Railway president and 涩里番 chancellor Sir Edward Beatty, is 涩里番鈥檚 most anticipated annual event. Some of the series鈥� greatest lectures, delivered by Nobel Prize laureates, world leaders, and cultural icons, had been forgotten, carefully stowed away in the 涩里番 Archives.
Researcher to address gender based violence with Government of Canada grant
On August 6, the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development announced agreements that will see almost $200 million over two years flow to shelters, sexual assault centres and organizations supporting women and children experiencing violence. This will ensure these critical front-line organizations can continue to provide life-saving services and supports to those who need it most.

The Office of the Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation) and 涩里番 Library are happy to announce the launch of the 涩里番 Research Data Management (RDM) Learning Program. This program focuses on building knowledge and skills to meet your RDM needs during your day-to-day research activities.

Jin Guo, Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at 涩里番's聽School of Computer Science, was awarded聽$382,020 in research funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's聽Better Software for Science program to study and improve聽the usability of large-userbase scientific open source software through early engagement of software users.
Collaborative digital platform to secure Canada鈥檚 food system
涩里番 is the academic lead of a $2.7 million consortium project to build the first national food supply chain data platform with Canada鈥檚 food and beverage associations.
Green ammonia the goal of 涩里番-Munich collaboration
Canada and Germany produce a combined 6.3 million tons of ammonia annually. Used primarily in the fertilizer, textile, and pharmaceutical industries, conventional ammonia production is energy-intensive and accounts for up to two per cent of primary energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions worldwide.
Debra Titone appointed as 涩里番鈥檚 new AVP Research
Research + Innovation (R+I) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Debra Titone of the Department of Psychology as Associate Vice-Principal, Research (AVPR).
