Mandate

The School of Medicine Policy Council (the Council) acts as the School of Medicine’s forum for consultation and decision making regarding the governance, strategic direction and general management of the School of Medicine in order to ensure that School policies are consistent with its mission and values.

  • Head of School, Vice-President (Health Affairs) & Dean (Chair)
  • Senior Advisor to the Vice-President (Health Affairs) & Dean (Secretary)
  • Associate Vice-President & Vice-Dean (Health Affairs)
  • Vice-Dean and Director, Campus Outaouais
  • Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) and Professional Affairs
  • Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME)
  • Director, Administration and Operations, Medical Education
  • Associate Director, Administration - Campus Outaouais
  • Communications Lead

Appointed voting members

  • Three (3) Clinical Chair Representatives
  • Director, Distributed Medicine Education
  • Two (2) Medical Students’ Society (MSS) student representatives, one of which should be from Campus Outaouais
  • Two (2) Association of Residents of ɬÀï·¬ (ARM) representatives
  • One (1) Graduate student from the School of Medicine
  • One (1) member of the tenure track academic staff
  • Two (2) non-tenure track academic staff holding an appointment in a clinical department
  • At least one Public Member Representative
