 terest in researching machine decision-making in situations where uncertai
 nty is high.\n\nDoina Precup is a Romanian researcher who specializes in a
 rtificial intelligence. She completed an MA in Science at the University o
 f Cluj-Napoca in 1995\, followed by an MA and PhD at the University of Mas
 sachusetts Amherst in 1997 and 2000\, respectively. She currently leads th
 e DeepMind office in Montreal\, a project spearheaded by Google. She is al
 so currently conducting research on reinforcement learning at DeepMind\, a
 nalyzing how AI applications can have a social impact in fields such as he
 althcare. She is also a senior fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanc
 ed Research\, a fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificia
 l Intelligence and a member of the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorit
 hms. She is also involved in correcting the gender imbalance within the di
 scipline and is the co-founder and adviser of the AI4Good Lab\, an organiz
 ation which aims to enlist more women in the field of artificial intellige
