A question period is scheduled on the Senate agenda for each meeting. Any senator may submit a written question or motion before a Senate meeting (see deadlines and templates聽below)聽for review by the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee has the delegated authority of Senate to make a determination on the admissibility of questions and motions.聽

The deadline for submitting questions and motions for consideration by the Senate Steering Committee is 5:00 p.m. on:
- Thursday, August 28, 2025, for consideration on September 2, 2025.
- Thursday, September 25, 2025, for consideration on October 1, 2025.
- Thursday, October 23, 2025, for consideration on October 27, 2025.
- Thursday, November 13, 2025, for consideration on November 18, 2025.
- (12:00 p.m.) Monday, January 5, 2026, for consideration on January 6, 2026.
- Thursday, January 29, 2026, for consideration on February 3, 2026.
- Thursday, March 5, 2026, for consideration on March 10, 2026.
- Thursday, March 26, 2026, for consideration on March 31, 2026.
- Thursday, April 23, 2026, for consideration on April 28, 2026.
Questions or motions submitted after the deadline will be considered by the Senate Steering Committee at a subsequent meeting.
