Interviews were conducted with y oung people aged 14 to 25 from Ireland\, Toronto\, Montreal\, and Ottawa\, about their experiences of disclosing sexual abuse in childhood. The data were examined using the lens of Brene Brown's psychosocial model of shame resilience\, focusing on the four key dynamics of vulnerability\, critica l awareness\, reaching out and speaking shame.
