Research interests include endocrine oncological conditions of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands along with rare genetic endocrine syndromes.

Biography: 

Dr. Elliot Mitmaker is Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at ɬÀï·¬ and is an Endocrine Surgeon at the ɬÀï·¬ Health Center. Dr. Mitmaker obtained his MD from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2003 and completed his General Surgery residency and obtained his Masters in Experimental Surgery from ɬÀï·¬. He then went on to complete a prestigious 2-year research and clinical fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) from 2009-2011. After completing his fellowship, he was recruited back as the first fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon at ɬÀï·¬ and has since developed a successful academic endocrine surgery practice. Dr. Mitmaker also serves as Program Director of the Surgical Oncology Fellowship Training Program at ɬÀï·¬ and remains very active in teaching and research.
