DESCRIPTION:Community Engagement Day is a new project from SEDE that aims t
 o celebrate and recognize community engagement efforts connecting ɬÀï·¬ t
 o Montreal community groups and organizations. The project is not intended
  as a one-off event\; rather\, it’s meant to serve as an entry point and c
 elebration of a broader culture of community engagement at ɬÀï·¬.On Thurs
 day\, October 2nd\, approximately 20 group community engagement activities
  will occur on campus and around the city. These activities highlight some
  form of collaboration between the University and a Montreal community org
 anization. Students\, staff\, faculty and alumni are encouraged to partici
 pate in these activities\, during which they’ll learn experientially about
  the societal issues and challenges facing communities in Montreal while d
 oing something to address them. Activities include public discussions\, co
 mmunity walking tours\, urban gardening\, and youth mentorship\, and more!
  All activities are free\, and registration will open in mid-September. On
  October 2nd\, participants will meet their project leader on lower campus
  at the main information point\, continue to the activity\, and afterwards
 \, have a chance to reflect. In November\, a follow-up event will provide 
 participants with the opportunity to get together and discuss Community En
