Shubhangi Bhardwaj Awarded International Development Education Award and International Peace Scholarship

PhD student in Human Development (Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology), Shubhangi Bhardwaj, was announced as a recent recipient of Dr. Gauri Shankar Guha Award for International Development Education! Bhardwaj was also awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) International Peace Scholarship for Women for the year 2025.

Dedicated to re-defining feminism, her research interest focuses on understanding the role of women in abuse/internalized sexism, resilient mindset, unconditional self-acceptance, and feminist solidarity. "This pretty much stems from my experience of tapping into my inner strength and cultivating self-love, which is what I aim to spread to every soul in this world," claims Bhardwaj.

Established in 2003 by 涩里番 Education's former Dean, Dr. Ratna Ghosh,聽 in her late father's name, the聽the Dr. Gauri Shankar Guha Award for International Development Education recognizes an outstanding graduate student pursuing research in international development education in the Faculty of Education and is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and aptitude for research by the Faculty of Education Awards Committee.
