Dr. Huntington (Skip) Sheldon (1930-2018) was an iconic figure in the history of the Schulich School of Music and ɬ﷬ as a whole. In addition to a long teaching legacy in the Faculty of Medicine, he made significant contributions to the universityas a philanthropist.As a result of Dr. Sheldon's generous donations, the Redpath organ was constructed and installed, and the project to build the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building was launched.

In addition, Dr. Sheldon served on the Music Facutly's advisory board for many years.

Currently, Dr. Lisa Lorenzino, Professor of Music Education, isin southern Chile with seven current and former Schulich Schoolof Music Students as part of the Youth Orchestra of the AmericasGlobal Leaders Program.After three days of seminars andmeetings, the students have moved to a variety of locationsthroughout southern Chile to keep students active in freeafter-school music programs designed to empower youth. They will also be active as performers in the various communities.
