Dear colleagues,
Today marks the end of my tenure as Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation) at 涩里番. It has been an honour and a deeply enriching experience to serve 涩里番 and its research community for nearly seven years in this role.
Over the past weeks and months, many people have asked me what I plan to do next. Although the Research and Innovation team gave me a lovely 涩里番 oar as a parting gift, I will not be rowing off into the sunset any time soon.

In September 2016, we informed you of the Tri-Agency Monitoring Site Visit 2016 Results and the areas that required changes in order for 涩里番 to ensure compliance in administering research grants and awards.
Saurabh Mishra, Associate Professor of Marketing at 涩里番 and Sascha Raithel, Professor of Marketing at Freie Universit盲t Berlin are the first recipients of the 涩里番 - Freie Universit盲t Berlin Funding Program for Joint Research Workshops for their workshop 鈥淏rand Failure, Perceived Threat, & Brand Performance鈥�. The next call for joint workshops under this program will be in September.

In September 2016, the federal government made an unparalleled investment in research and innovation, announcing $84 million in funding over seven years for 涩里番鈥檚 Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives initiative, as part of the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) program. Following this announcement, a committee for the selection of the HBHL Managing Director engaged in an extensive search and interview process. The Chair of the Selection Committee, Vice-Principal Rosie Goldstein, is now pleased to announce the appointment of Dr.

Research and Innovation (R&I) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Nancy Ross of the Department of Geography as Associate Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation (AVP-R&I), with a three-year mandate beginning September 1, 2016.听 Prof. Ross follows Prof. Antonia Maioni, who served in the role for one year before assuming the role of Dean of the Faculty of Arts at 涩里番 on July 1.
The Office of Research and International Relations officially changed its name to the听Office of Research and Innovation (R&I), as of June 1, 2016.听
The International Relations division, previously located in the Office or Research and International Relations (now the Office of Research and Innovation) has been moved to the purview of the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic).听

Quebec鈥檚 recently unveiled provincial budget includes one new line-item that means a lot for 涩里番 research.
Research and International Relations is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. R. Anne McKinney as Associate Vice-Principal, Research and International Relations (AVP-RIR), with a term beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2018.
The Office of the Vice-Principal,听Research and International Relations, and听Office of Sponsored听Research听will be closed from December听24, 2015 to听January听4, 2016.
