Le projet de finance ²¹±è±è±ô¾±±ç³Üé±ð est une composante clé du programme. Il offre la possibilité aux étudiants et étudiantes de mettre immédiatement en pratique les compétences et les connaissances acquises en classe. Il se divise en trois étapes, qui se chevauchent :

  1. Gestion de capitaux Desautels inc.Ìý: Au début du programme, les étudiants et étudiantes se joignent àÌýÌýen tant qu’analystes. GCD est une firme de gestion des investissements autorisée et réglementée qui est dotée d’un conseil d’administration indépendant et fait affaire avec des investisseurs externes. En tant qu’analystes, les étudiants et étudiantes sont responsables d’un secteur en particulier. Ils repèrent des occasions d’investissement et les présentent à leurs collègues. En outre, ils sont responsables des questions réglementaires, de la conformité, des transactions et de l’exécution, de la liquidation, de la préparation et du dépôt des états financiers ainsi que des communications avec les clients.
  2. Série de séminaires professionnelsÌý: Des séminaires seront organisés régulièrement pour exposer les étudiants et étudiantes aux pratiques et enjeux actuels sur les marchés financiers. Ces séminaires seront animés par des spécialistes de divers secteurs (fonds spéculatifs, fonds de pension, comptabilité fiscale et juridique, etc.) et offriront des occasions de réseautage uniques.
  3. Projet finalÌý: Les étudiants et étudiantes travailleront sur un sujet financier de leur choix sous la supervision d’un ou une membre du corps professoral. Tout au long du projet, ils auront l’occasion de réfléchir à ce sujet important de manière indépendante et créative, de mettre à profit leurs compétences en analyse quantitative et, ultimement, de démontrer un ensemble de compétences professionnelles dans un domaine qui les intéresse.

Voyage d’études à l’étranger

Chaque automne, les étudiantes et étudiants inscrits au programme de MGF se rendent à Londres, en Angleterre, pour voir de leurs propres yeux le fonctionnement du secteur financier actuel dans une métropole en plein essor. Durant cinq jours, et grâce au vaste réseau de diplômés et diplômées de l’Université ɬÀï·¬, les membres de la cohorte rencontreront les représentants et représentantes de plusieurs organisations financières qui mènent des activités dans divers secteurs, comme la gestion de patrimoine, l’immobilier, la gestion des risques et le capital-investissement.
