Please note that effective Fall 2026, new students may be eligible to be granted an exemption from COMP 202 if they have demonstrable prior computer programming experience by successfully completing the with a minimum grade of 27/30. To clarify, an exemption for this course would mean that you must replace the COMP 202 requirement with an additional eligible List A or List B Technical Complementary (TC) course from your program. The quiz must be completed, and the exemption request must be made by no later than the Fall add/drop deadline. A message will appear on your ‘Unofficial Transcript’ on Minerva by the end of December indicating this exemption. Requests submitted after the add/drop deadline will not be considered.
