As the inaugural chairman, I am proud to lead our new department in achieving its mission of delivering outstanding emergency care for our patients through excellence in clinical care, education, research, and innovation.
The Department is proud to be the home of a bright and energetic faculty who benefit from the experience and wisdom of some of Canada's best Emergency Medicine physicians. Our faculty members provide academic and clinical expertise in the areas of hospital care, toxicology, resuscitation, simulation, ultrasound, and medical education.
The Department of Emergency Medicine residency program is among聽the most comprehensive and broad-based teaching programs聽in the country. We strongly encourage our residents to get involved in the Emergency Medicine specialty by becoming leaders in the workplace, in the community, in academics, and in national organizations.
