Faculty Program in Environment (54 credits)

This program is open only to students in the BA degree.

BA students have the choice of three different Concentration options within the Faculty Program in Environment:

Ecological Determinants of Health in Society
Economics and the Earth's Environment
Environment and Development

*Please note that the Faculty Program in Environment is considered to be an Arts program for the purposes of the Fall 2025 revision to the BA degree requirements. BA students are not required to complete another Arts program in addition to the Faculty Program in Environment (but may choose to also do a Minor/Major Concentration).

Common among all programs are the core ENVR courses. In addition to the 21 credits of core ENVR courses listed below, students will focus on a specific concentration, or area of interest, related to the environment.







To complete the BA Faculty Program in Environment, students must:

(a) pass all courses counted towards the Faculty Program Environment with a grade of C or higher

(b) confirm that their course selection satisfies the required components of their Environment program

(c) fufill all Faculty BA degree requirements as specified in the

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

The BA Faculty Program in Environment was revised for the Fall 2026 semester. Students who entered the program prior to Fall 2026 and intend to complete that version of the program must meet all of the program requirements that were in place at that time, including the Basic Science and Numeracy requirements.

Students should refer to the eCalendar/Course Catalogue listing for their program in the semester that they started.
