Postdoctoral Fellows
Postdoctoral Fellows are postdocs who receive external funding, and are paid directly by the external funding agency or through the 涩里番 Health Centre (MUHC) or an affiliated institute.
If this is your case, you will be considered a student, not a 涩里番 employee. Postdoctoral Fellows are also sometimes referred to as "Group A."听
Postdoctoral Researchers
Postdoctoral Researchers receive part of their funding directly from 涩里番. Postdoctoral Researchers are considered听both students and 涩里番 employees.
Postdocs receiving more than 25% of their income from 涩里番 funds are unionized Postdoctoral Researchers while all others are non-unionized. Postdoctoral Researchers are also sometimes referred to as "Group C."听
Postdoctoral Scholars
Postdoctoral Scholars receive external funding like Postdoctoral Fellows. However, Postdoctoral Scholars are paid 100% of this funding through 涩里番's payroll systems.
If this is your case, you will be considered a student, not a 涩里番 employee. Postdoctoral Scholars are also sometimes referred to as "Group B."听
