SharePoint "Alert me" is going away
Microsoft is currently retiring SharePoint's 鈥渁lert me鈥�, which will disappear from 涩里番鈥檚 SharePoint sometime between January and July 2026. 涩里番 has no control over the exact moment when the feature will be removed within that timeframe.
RESOLVED: Minerva waitlists restored
Due to an unexpected system issue, the Minerva waitlists were inadvertently cleared. IT Services and Enrolment Services have resolved the situation, and听waitlists are now functioning normally.

Teams update: the Files tab is being renamed Shared
As part of Microsoft鈥檚 latest Teams update, the听Files听tab听(in听channels and听chats)听is being renamed听Shared.听This change听is being听gradually听rolled听out.听Some 涩里番 users will see this change before others. For a little while,听you may see both听Files听and听Shared听tabs across your Teams.听

You can quickly report a suspicious email using the Report Junk or Report Phishing buttons available in Microsoft Outlook, whether you鈥檙e using the desktop app, mobile app, or Outlook on the web.

Service Alert Update: Minerva intermittent access issues have been resolved

Staff and students can now access Minerva without any issues.

Staff and students may currently experience difficulties accessing Minerva. Our IT Services team is actively working to resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as soon as possible.
Changes to IT Services equipment loans 鈥� What you need to know.
涩里番鈥檚 IT Services equipment loans will be reduced to better reflect current needs and available resources. Starting August 18, 2025, only a limited selection of commonly borrowed equipment will remain available: laptops and wireless microphones.
This initiative supports efforts to optimize resources and modernize services in line with Horizon 涩里番.
Update concerning Workday and data security
听
Workday has informed us of a phishing campaign that targeted many large organizations, including Workday. This led to unauthorized access to one of their third-party platforms, Workday鈥檚 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. There is no indication that 涩里番 employees鈥� personal information and HR related information stored in 涩里番's Workday system were accessed during this incident.
