Hugo Cossette-Lefebvre

(2024-2026)

Research Topic:

When is AI discriminatory?

My research project will focus on two questions:

  1. What are the ethical issues related to the use of predictive algorithms in decision-making processes?
  2. What measures need to be put in place to ensure that the rights and freedoms of all are respected despite the use of these technologies?

My research project will identify how it is possible to ensure the responsible adoption of AI, and refine our understanding of the links between AI and equity, diversity, and inclusion by studying how these new technologies should be regulated to ensure that their use is not discriminatory.
