Americans are more likely to turn to authoritarian leaders when jobs are being lost due to offshoring than they are when job losses result from automation, an international research team has found. This is despite the fact that automation tends to lead to greater job losses.

Researchers at 涩里番听have听found that听briefly听treating peanuts with cold plasma, an ionically charged gas that triggers chemical changes,听reduces听their potential听to cause allergic reactions.听The researchers say this is听probably because the process听causes听changes to the protein structure,听the part of the peanut that听can听trigger an immune response.听The technology听was also shown to听improve听functional properties important for food manufacturing.听

The overhead recovery fee currently being charged on actual revenues earned in non-1A unrestricted funds will remain at 7.5% in FY2027. This is unchanged from FY2026. The process for collecting and recording of this fee will continue to occur on a quarterly basis.

International听energy research organization听Ember听has听released its annual听.听It听reports听that听clean听energy听sources have听met all new energy demand since 2025,听while听electricity generation from fossil fuels听has听remained听unchanged.听The听review听notes that solar power听is growing听at the听fastest听rate. However,听in Canada,听it notes,听solar and wind make up听less than 10 per cent听of听the country鈥檚听electricity generation,听compared to the听G7 average of 19 per cent.听

It鈥檚听rare that any business faces the type of challenges that a symphony orchestra does. An orchestra needs to perform at elite level, night in and night out. But it also needs to make money.

Some of Dr. Jeffrey Mogil鈥檚 most influential discoveries could be considered serendipity. He may not have set out to revolutionize the field, but what he ended up finding has made a lasting impact in the world of pain research.

On March 25, 2026, Senator Tony Loffreda rose in the Senate of Canada to honour Karl Moore, citing his more than two decades of contributions to academia, leadership research and public discourse.

Researchers studying 450-million-year-old fossils discovered about 50 kilometres northeast of Quebec City have identified a new species of basal medusozoan: Paleocanna tentaculum, a soft-bodied, tube-shaped polyp with a ring of tentacles. Closely related to modern jellyfish, it is a rare discovery. Only a few other species in its subphylum have ever been described in the fossil record.
