students at climate march

The mandate of this student/faculty/staff led committee is to promote planetary health and environmentally responsible nursing practices at the ISoN that will contribute positively to our global climate.Ìý

The Green TeamÌýÌý

The ISoN Green Team began as a taskforce following a vote at School Council in early 2023 to work towards Bronze Level Sustainable Workplace Certification, as determined by ɬÀï·¬'s Office of Sustainability, with a commitment to sustainability encompassing ISoN's physical environment, people and fiscal responsibility. The Green Team completed the Workplace Sustainability Ambassadors training, reviewed the 15 actions required to meet bronze certification, and encouraged all members of ISoN to take sustainable steps around the school, such as recycling, minimizing printing, and using our growing collection of dishes and cutlery for meetings and events.ÌýÌý

With the support and participation of all members of the School, ISoN received Bronze Level Sustainable Workplace Certification in October 2023. The Green Team members continue to meet, at least once per term, to ensure sustainable actions continue to be implemented within the school.ÌýÌýÌý
