Trenholme Dean of Libraries

In accordance with the University Statutes, an Advisory Committee to the President and Vice-Chancellor has been struck for the Possible Reappointment of the Trenholme Dean of Libraries.

B. BRIEF SUMMARY OF ADVISORY PROCESS STAGES

MANDATE

The Committee is mandated to advise the President through its Chair on the reappointment of the Trenholme Dean of Libraries. In fulfilling this mandate, the Committee will review the Dean’s performance, consult with members of the University community, and consider the Libraries's priorities for the years ahead.

KEY STAGES

Once the Advisory Committee is formed, its process involves several stages, generally focusing on the following steps:

  1. Committee orientation and preliminary review of the incumbent’s achievements and performance to date. 
  2. Meeting with the incumbent (interview) and Committee deliberations
  3. Advice communicated by the Chair to the President
  4. Presentation of recommendation by the President to the Board of Governors

INVITATION FOR FEEDBACK

The Advisory Committee invites members of the ɬÀï·¬ community to submit written feedback regarding the possible reappointment of the Trenholme Dean of Libraries.

Feedback may address:

  • The Dean’s leadership and performance during the current term
  • The key opportunities, challenges, and priorities facing the Libraries in the years ahead

All feedback will be treated in strictest confidence by the Committee.
