Anna-Maria Moubayed Albasha, Ph. D.

Dr Anna-Maria Moubayed Albasha is a medieval art historian whose current research focuses on representations of Eve in Romanesque sculpture, issues of pilgrimage, women on the Camino de Santiago, digital humanities, and spolia in Christian and Islamic medieval architecture. She holds two postdoctoral research fellowships at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) - Universidad de Navarra (UNAV), Pamplona (Spain), both funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Society and Culture (2020-2024). She also holds a doctoral degree in Art History and Art Conservation from Queen's University, Kingston (Canada), funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Doctoral Award (2014-2017), and the Bader Research Fellowship in Art (2014-2015). Dr Moubayed Albasha currently teaches at ɬÀï·¬ (Montreal), Concordia University (Montreal), Saint Paul University (Ottawa), and she has taught at the Department of Philosophy, UNAV.
