Meet Ryan Dvorak, Faculty of Education's valedictorian for this year's convocation. The Faculty's second valedictorian from the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, Ryan, who has earned his B.Sc. (Honours), will have a personal story to share with us and some words of wisdom the entire audience will be able to learn from.听In an interview with the 涩里番 Reporter, Ryan said听support from family, professors and peers shaped both his academic and personal growth.
Four academics staff members in 涩里番's Faculty of Education have been awarded Research Support for New Academics (NP) Grants from the Fonds de recherche du Qu茅bec 鈥� Soci茅t茅 et culture (FRQSC). This three-year program supports early-career researchers in establishing innovative and impactful research initiatives in the social sciences and humanities.

涩里番 Faculty of Education is proud to announce a new international partnership between the Sylvan Adams Sports Science Institute (SASSI) at 涩里番 and the听. SASSI has now been formally integrated into this leading global network dedicated to advancing human performance research.
Researchers investigating how to increase participation in physical activity by autistic children and teens say key strategies include creating predictable routines, involving family members and ensuring safe and sensory-friendly spaces.
Those were among 95 鈥渇acilitators鈥� yielded by their review of previously published research on the subject. Autistic youth are less physically active than their peers, who are already not physically active enough, the researchers said, noting that physical activity could be beneficial to their physical, social and emotional health.
Professor Gordon Bloom, Director of 涩里番's Sport Psychology Laboratory, was interviewed by CHCH-TV about the felony assault charges against Gavin McKenna who was seen as Canada's rising hockey star and top NHL 2026 draft prospect. "What we have to remind young people is that they're not invincible and they're not above the law," said Bloom.
