The 2024 Gairdner Symposium "Diet, Bodywieght and Cancer Risk", will be hosted by a world-leader in oncometabolism听research, the听Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute. This event will听bring together approximately 150 biomedical and clinical researchers, clinicians, health professionals, and the public to broaden understanding, foster collaboration, and empower stake holders to address the challenges posed by obesity-related chronic diseases and cancer.

"A 涩里番-led study suggests that Earth's natural forces could substantially reduce Antarctica鈥檚 impact on rising sea levels, but only if carbon emissions are swiftly reduced in the coming decades. By the same token, if emissions continue on the current trajectory, Antarctic ice loss could lead to more future sea level rise than previously thought.

Recently, 涩里番 undergraduate students had the opportunity to savor an enriching blend of knowledge and soup at the 37th edition of Soup & Science. This week-long event, occurring once a semester, highlights research taking place on campus. This semester鈥檚 showcase included topics across disciplines, ranging from quantum meta-photonics to optogenetic stimulation in roundworms, and students were able to learn and engage with these topics in an intimate setting.
