After nearly 5 years as 涩里番鈥檚 Associate Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation (AVP-RI), Professor Nancy Ross is leaving 涩里番 to join Queen鈥檚 University as Vice-Principal, Research. She will begin her appointment on August 1, 2021.
For Ross, her upcoming journey to Kingston will be a homecoming. Ross received her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Queen鈥檚. She also holds a Ph.D. from McMaster University.

In this new role, Rousseau provides support and advice to the 涩里番 research community on software, from grant applications to the implementation of research activities. SSHRC invests over $80k in new 涩里番 research projects through the Partnership Engage Grants competition, two of which are directly related to COVID-19 research.
Recently, the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) announced the recipients of its latest competition of Partnership Engage Grants, as well as recipients of its Special Initiative COVID-19 grant competition. Four 涩里番 researchers received funding through Partnership Engage grants for their projects, two of which received grants under the Special Initiative COVID-19 competition.
