The B.A. & Sc. Interfaculty Program Cognitive Science is designed to allow students to explore the multidisciplinary study of cognition in humans and machines. The goal is to understand the principles of intelligence and thought with the hope that this will lead to a better understanding of the mind and of learning, and to the development of intelligent devices.

Students are encouraged to book an appointment with the Cognitive Science Program Advisor during their first year to review their course plan.

For a complete list of Cognitive Science program requirements and course descriptions, refer to the official course catalogue below.

This program has five different pathways to choose from, and each pathway has different prerequisites. Students must plan ahead to ensure they meet the prerequisites and are prepared to take 400-level courses later in the program.
