Rajae Anys

Rajae AnysGraduate researcher in social sciences, I am pursuing a PhD in feminist sociology. My research focuses on the structural and individual dynamics that influence the decision-making processes and shape the lived experiences of adult men who marry underage girls in Morocco. More broadly, my work engages with issues related to youth and vulnerability, both in Morocco and in Québec.
Passionate about science communication, I create digital content through the PhDpartners platform and host the podcast Ma thèse en rose, a space dedicated to sharing and popularizing doctoral research. I am also involved in several knowledge mobilization and knowledge translation initiatives.

Current ProjectsÌý

  • My doctoral research proposes an exploratory study of masculinities through the case of adult men who marry underage girls in Morocco. The project aims to examine the individual and structural dynamics that influence these unions and shape the lived experiences of the men involved.
  • I work as a research assistant and project coordinator on a research project focused on the cultural adaptation of services for youth aged 12 to 25 who identify as immigrants or members of visible minority groups in Québec. Conducted at the Institut Universitaire SHERPA (CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal), this project is grounded in a co-creation and co-construction approach and brings together youth, parents, practitioners, and managers from community and institutional organizations across four regions of Québec.
