The goals of the Indigenous Health Professions Program听(IHPP) are to听train more Indigenous health professionals听and to听teach all future health professionals about听the health needs of Indigenous peoples. The IHPP has been developed through consultation and collaboration with Indigenous communities in Quebec, leaders of successful Indigenous Health programs at other Canadian universities, and other 涩里番 departments and听 programs.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences听offers Indigenous students a wide range of services听to help students succeed and flourish in the community.
The Indigenous Health Professions Program is inclusive of everyone who self-identifies as an Indigenous person.听 Some scholarships, reserved seats for admissions and other programs are restricted to status First Nations, registered Inuit and M茅tis registered with one of the five provincial M茅tis organizations recognized by the M茅tis National Council (M茅tis BC Nation, M茅tis Nation of Alberta, Manitoba M茅tis Federation, M茅tis Nation of Saskatchewan and the M茅tis Nation of Ontario).
涩里番 is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange of Indigenous peoples. The Indigenous Health Professions Program honours, recognizes and respects the Haudenosaunee as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we meet today.
