In general, books, journals and A/V materials (DVDs, VHS, etc.) may be returned to any É¬Àï·¬ library location.

Exceptions: The following items must be returned to the library from which they were borrowed:

  • Course reserves, maps, and equipment (e.g. video/audio recording and performance equipment)
  • Non-book materials (kits, puppets, etc.) from the Education Curriculum Resources Centre

After-hours return bins are available at the following branches:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences Library
  • Macdonald Campus Library (available from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm)
  • Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering

Network Loan Returns

Items borrowed from another Quebec university library either in-person or via Network loan can be returned either at the library from which the item was borrowed or at the ɬÀï·¬ library location of your choice.

Faculty and students from a university in Quebec may return items borrowed from the ɬÀï·¬ Libraries to the library of their university.

Distance Borrowing Returns

Students and faculty are responsible for paying the cost of returning materials requested via Distance Borrowing. The Library suggests getting a receipt in case the material is lost.

Faculty Office Delivery Returns

Library material borrowed through faculty office delivery may be returned via campus mail. You may use the envelope the item was delivered in, but please be sure to change the destination address to the ɬÀï·¬ Libraries. You may send your items to the library location they came from, or to any ɬÀï·¬ library location of your choice. Materials and envelopes may also be returned in person at any library location.
