This one to two week externship is for dental students or resident graduates considering applying to one of the programs offered by the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the 涩里番 Universty Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences. The externship takes place at the Montreal General Hospital.
During the externship, students assist in different clinical and teaching activities, and shadow Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents throughout the day. The externs learn more about the day-to-day life of a resident as well as the scope of an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice.
Externs may only observe and may not participate in hands-on patient care including dental assisting with the exception of 涩里番 dental medicine students, who are allowed hands-on externships.
There are no fees for this program, however all expenses incurred are the responsibility of the extern.
