Faculty of Science Peer Mentoring Program

Formerly the Tomlinson Engagement Award for Mentoring (TEAM)

The Peer Mentoring ProgramÌýhelps makeÌýlarge 100- and 200-level Science classes feel more personalÌýand supportive by connectingÌýstudents with peer mentors. Typically, these mentors are experienced upper-year students who have taken the course beforeÌýand are selected by instructors to help newer students learn and be engaged. Peer mentors receive a $400 Peer Mentoring Award, recognizing excellence in teaching,ÌýlearningÌýand mentorship.Ìý

Students will receive one of two awards, each named in honour of a distinguished scholar and educator.

  • Richard Tomlinson Undergraduate Award
