Biography:听Born in Petr贸polis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Matheus always thought he would study to become a journalist or a writer. But the power of Physics which is omnipresent, was too strong to resist. After graduating from the Federal University of ABC in his homeland, he moved to Montr茅al, where he recently finished his MSc in Experimental Cosmology and started his PhD jointly in Nano biophysics.
Matheus has worked with a social entrepreneurship organization, Enactus, on a project called Alfatech to help solve child illiteracy in communities. Further to having founded the first-ever Brazilian team to participate in the International Physicists鈥� Tournament (IPT), Matheus then founded the first Canadian team to take part in the听. As a Science Education Fellow at OSE, Matheus brings excitement to the projects he鈥檚 involved in and learns a lot during these processes. He hopes this will all help him become a better instructor further on in his career.
