Biography: Rebeca is a Latina educator and curriculum designer whose work centers on climate change education. She is currently pursuing a PhD on climate change education with a focus on making climate teaching more accessible and supporting educators in developing transformative pedagogical practices. Her research and practice are grounded in hopeful approaches to climate change, exploring how acts such as repair and mending can extend the life of everyday objects, foster care for material worlds, and resist systems that perpetuate the climate crisis. For the Office of Science Education, Rebeca is a course developer for FSCI 198, supporting the instructional team and providing best practices for teaching for a changing world.
