Vivian Myron, MSW, Social Worker, Palliative Care Services, Jewish General Hospital (JGH). Vivian Myron has been a social worker at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) Palliative Care Unit in Montréal, Canada for over 20 years. She has been the Clinical Coordinator of the oncology social workers at the A smiling woman with dark hair.JGH and co-chair of Accreditation Canada Palliative Care CIUSSS Centre Ouest de . She is a participant of the Comité élargi soins palliatifs. She is on the GIST team for the CIUSSS Centre Ouest de 'Î, offering support to staff when a patient requests Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) at the JGH. She was on the Organizing Committee for the Social Work Full Day Seminar at the 2024 ɬ﷬ International Palliative Care Congress. She is on the Consultative Committee of Caregiver Grief Connexion. Vivian teaches an interdisciplinary course entitled “Grief, Loss, Death and Dying, a Palliative Care Workshop," offered at the JGH and to CIUSSS partners. She teaches about palliative care in the acute care hospital setting and how to communicate with children about an adult’s advanced illness and impending death to social workers at the Jewish General Hospital. She is a ɬ﷬ Social Work Supervisor of students in the field and has guest lectured at the ɬ﷬ School of Social Work. She is a member of the ɬ﷬ School of Social Work Council. Vivian has had the privilege of being a volunteer for the past nine years at Myra's Kids Foundation, which is a free summer camp for bereaved children. She has delivered an episode of the CIUSSS Centre Ouest de 'Î’s Your Health Podcast, titled “Children and Palliative Care,” teaching adults how to communicate about a loved adult’s advanced illness and impending death. Her greatest career passion is working with her patients, their families and the wonderful interdisciplinary palliative care team and social work department at the Jewish General Hospital.

Zelda Freitas, MSW, Social Worker, Clinical Senior Advisor, CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.Zelda Freitas is a Social Worker and Clinical Senior Advisor with A woman with short gray hair, glasses, a blue scarf, and a dark shirt.Professional Practice of the Directorate of Rehabilitation and Multidisciplinary Services of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. She is an Adjunct Professor and course lecturer at the ɬ﷬ School of Social Work. Zelda’s experience involves training, knowledge transfer, psychosocial support on issues related to caregiving, palliative and end-of-life care, and older adults. She presents at international and national conferences and participates in research projects and publications. She serves on several advisory boards and is a volunteer member of the ɬ﷬ Council on Palliative Care. Zelda is a founding member and part of the coordination team of the Caregiver Grief Connexion project.
