The Wellness Wheel entails 7 interconnected dimensions of well-being.

Investing in fostering all the areas of the Wellness Wheel may lead to healthier habits, resilience, a more positive mood, and a greater sense of balance.

At the same time, taking care of one area of wellness will likely result in positive changes to other areas. For example, investing in your sleep routine (physical) can help your academic and professional performance. Similarly, neglecting one or more of the areas of the Wellness Wheel may compromise your mood, healthy habits, relationships, or ability to handle life challenges.

Self-Assessment: Your Wellness Wheel

We invite you to continuously self-assess your well-being dimensions, as this will help you get feedback, keep a consistent approach to your health, and respond preventively and proactively to the emergence of any problems.

Consider rating the following dimensions on a 1-5 scale, with 1 being poor and 5 being excellent, to notice how you are doing in the different aspects of well-being and whether any changes are necessary moving forward.

  • Which section(s) of your wheel have the highest scores?
  • Which section(s) of your wheel have the lowest scores?
  • Where you surprised by your assessment?
  • What dimensions are you satisfied/dissatisfied with?
  • If this is not the first time you are completing this assessment, have there been any changes in your Wheel? What has led to these changes?
